I know Viruses are written in assembly language! What are anti-viruses in?? C, Java or assembly like the virus

I need to know! Please tell me!


I suspect they are in some sort of c combined with assembly, but i am not sure! Please tell me

Actually, if you look at the virus listings on the web sites of anti-virus companies, you'll see that there is a wide range of programming languages used.





Judging from the typical bloated, slow code that is in almost every Windows program made these days, I'd say that C++ with Object Oriented Programming is the most widely language used.


However, anti-virus programs can be created with any language. While a programmer needs to know Assembly language in order to dissect viruses/trojans, the anti-virus programs themselves can be made with any language.
