C-Section Bump is tender?

I wondering if anyone has ever experienced a bump under there c-section scar. Its like a lump. The doctors say its anything from scar tissue to sebacous syst to hardened blood. Well I found it a few months ago, and the DR. said he will take it out when I have my next C-section (I'm not pregnat yet) . But now its sort of tender...like if my underwear is rubbing onit or I bump into the counter. SO now I am going to a surgan to talk about getting it removed. Is that an easy procedure? Also. Has anyone experienced this? I worry a lot. Too much, and even though I have been reassured, I worry its cancer. So I just want it taken out. Thank you in advance.

C-Section Bump is tender?
You know I had the same problem after I had my first daughter. Well I never noticed it until I had my c-section with my baby. But for me I had a herniated belly button. So my doctor repaired it. but now I am fine. It was not that big of a deal for me.
Reply:Yes, I did , mine was tender for some time I knew i had a problem and come to find out it was infected inside, they cleaned it out and it healed, but they took it out when I had my next c section and the second one was soooo much better than the first and no problems at all.
Reply:I had a lump/bump under one edge of my c-section scar. I remember rubbing it sometimes and that my underwear irritated it sometimes too. It did finally go away, it took over a year. I know a general rule of thumb as far as bumps and cancer goes. If it hurts, it probably isn't cancer. I hope this gives you some peace.
Reply:I got a c-section in September, I think it's normal to feel a slight bump where your incision was made. It hurts when my baby tries to jump up and down in that area and sometimes when I'm just holding her. They say it can take up to a year for it to properly heal. I just deal with it... It's just one of those things that come with labor lol. I'm sure it's not cancer, but to ease your mind call your doc. You don't want to many major surgeries. It causes more scar tissue damage and it will hurt more each time.
Reply:my wife had pain under her c section for over a year. From what i understand, its the scar tissue from the underlying layers that are causing the bump (all scars leave a bump, but when they are layered on top of eachother its more pronounced). Either way, it took a long time, but the pain finally went away. She just tried to keep the elastic off of it. When she had our second kid, they cut open the same scar again. The bump (pretty much the whole length of the scar) is still there, but not nearly as much pain the second time. 2 cuts pretty much destroyed all the nerves on the scar.
Reply:I had what sounds like the EXACT same thing. Mine was an infected stitch granuloma, which is a piece of tissue that didn't heal properly and became infected. When I had it removed, it was under a local anaesthetic. It took about ten minutes, and required two stitches. The discomfort was very minimal, both during the procedure and after.

Take care!
Reply:no really i know what you mean but don't worry it is cancer....my c-section scar was tender a year after my c-section. It is a "fatty" cyst...if it hurts then please make this clear to your Doctor. If he blows you off get another Doctor.
Reply:The only thing I can tell you is I too have had a C-section and that bump bothered me for years. It eventually went away though.
Reply:I'm sure it isn't cancer. Probably just scar tissue that is getting irritated. Sometimes that can happen. Usually if it gets tender, it needs to be removed. Sometimes they can just do it under a local anisthetic. Sometimes not, so talk to the surgeon about your options. It should be a pretty simple procedure, but that depends on the size and other factors. Good luck!!!!!
Reply:Hey, Roxy. I see you've gotten some great answers and a lot of reassurance already. For more information, put "c-section lump" into the search window above...there are so many of us ladies going through or having gone through the same thing. Which is why I hopped on answers just now. Although its nothing to worry about, this sucker HURTS! Some days it doesn't hurt at all. My baby is 3 months and 3 weeks old. Today, it is very uncomfortable. I'm still going to the doctor about it. I just don't want to make it worse. I want to have one or two more babies, then (this was my 2nd c-section) have a cosmetically inclined surgeon take care of all that. The pain and the scar can actually be IMPROVED after years by medicine and surgery and that is also very very reassuring!! Be sure to talk to your doctor, they can do a lot more but they've got to be asked sometimes.
Reply:just go the the surgen and talk to him and get it removed asap
Reply:I have had two c-sections. My incision scar was very tender for quite awhile and after 6 1/2 years (since my last c-section) it is still sensitive, itching freqeuntly. Unless is been quite awhile that you've had the "lump", I wouldn't get too worried yet!
