Where can i find information about great britain and its democratic success?

i have to write an essay on the following topic:


Most Americans believe that the checks and balances enshrined in the US Constitution’s separation of powers are essential parts of the success of democratic governments. Since Great Britain has neither a constitution nor separation of powers what is it that has made British democratic government so successful and how does it facilitate success?





where can i find good information? what sort of approach should i take to the question?. i dont need that much detail b/c the essay is only two pages single spaced.

I personally would appoach this question by talking about the checks and balances that exist in the UK such as the House of Lords, the vote of no confidence, majorities etc. and how they have kept Britain Democratic.
