I am only 20 and I am having some sort of a hair loss, not serious one though.
My family has no history of hair loss or medical issues so I know its not a genetic thing.
I think its b/c of bad shampoos and styling products I used that weakened the roots.
Whats the best shampoo to fix that?
What is the best shampoo to use if s/one is experiencing hair loss due to weak roots?
Don't take any advice consult a proper beautician or dermatologist.

Reply:It could be numberous things that aren't necessarily genetic.
My guess would be poor nutrition, lack of protein.
Shampoos and styling products don't weaken roots. If the cause were styling products your hair would be breaking off mid-strand, not falling out from the roots.
Eat more protein.
Reply:You wouldn't need shampoo if you have no hair! But seriously, you should talk to a doctor, or talk to somebody else who has this condition.

Reply:Try VitaTress Biotin shampoo by Nexxus. My hairdresser swears by it and it is good for thinning hair.
Reply:You need to consult a dermatologist to verify the reason for your hair loss. There might be a medical reason for it that needs to be addressed.
Reply:If you have hair breakage (usally occuring midshaft and at the ends of the hair) that can be fixed. If, however, you are experiencing breakage from the roots, you may need to see a dermatologist. Styling products do not weaken roots.
Shampoos will not stop breakage. They will clean your hair. First and foremost you must begin taking a multi vitamin and biotin supplment 2 times a day and driking 32 ounces of water a day. This will help stop the breakage from the inside. Dry and damaged hair comes from overprocessing and lack of conditoning. You need to deep conditon your hair EVERY week using a mixure of olive oil, mayo, and eggs. PROTEIN helps make your hair stronger! You should also do a weekly hot oil treatment with pure jojoba oil and/or avacado oil (purchase from vitaminne shoppe, vitamin world, and/or GNC). Wash your hair only 2 times a week as this will help preserve your own natural oils (sebum). If you want to get a good cheap shampoo and conditioner I would try Garneir Fructis. Althoughh the vitamin shoppe sells jojoba shampoo and conditioner for about 3 bucks a bottle. It's natural and great for your hair. Aubry Organics also makes great shampoos and conditoners that can also be purchased there but they are more pricey! Good Luck
Reply:your family physician or hometown hair salon can help you.
Reply:I hate to say it but race does often play a role.
If you process your hair and are AA STOP!!!!!Relaxers will be the reason you’re losing hair. They stunt hair growth after a while. If your AA try Silk Elements shampoo and conditioner with cholesterol.
If youre not AA, shampoos and styling products are not your problem.Try not washing you hair with shampoo.Apply conditioner to your hair and rinse instead for a while.Maybe you're stripping your hair more than you should. If that doesnt help see a doctor.
