I recently put in a photo share software program that takes up much space only to find it does not work properly. I went to 'add and remove' programs in the control panel but the program has some sort of failsafe against removing it. All I get is their 'ready to install wizard' icon.
Went into 'C' drive and eradicated some of their stuff but the program is still alive and kicking taking up computer space. Does anyone know how to eliminate these kinds of programs?
Getting rid of an unwanted software program?
Try using and AV program
or go to http://www.download.com and search for som apps that will help you. Rescently they were advertising a new app that will kill anything in your computer.

Reply:You can go to their site and look for a removal tool. Also you can use this virus scanner and see if it detects it as a threat:

Reply:boot your cpu in safe mode (different cpu's do this differently, but it will tell you something like options while you are booting up, not from hibranate!) Then, in safe mode, you should be able to remove it from the add/remove window in your control panel. hope This helps!
Reply:Depends on what you mean by "taking up space". If it is just hard drive space and the program is not running, I wouldn't worry about it unless you really need the space.
If it is running and therefore taking up RAM space, bring up the Task Manager (hit Ctr-Alt-Del and select Task Manager), go to the Processes tab and locate it on the list. Highlight and press the Delete key to kill the program.
Listing the program and Operating System would help. Good luck!!
Reply:not really
tap F8 key slowly when you turn the computer on, a menu will appear, select safe mode
