I have a full backup prepared with the Windows XP utility. I got a new hard-drive, and after installing XP, tried doing a "Restore" using the utility. This naive approach did not work because it creates a sort of hybrid between the new and the old systems... with files from the recently installed system not fully removed. Is there a way to reformat the C: Drive and restore from backup all in one shot, so that the end-result will be a pristine copy of my originally backed up system?

If you insert the windows cd, there will be option for for formating/clean install and recovery from back up called known good configuaration.
but I recommend it slightly differently. To be safest, create partition in hard drive. then back up your previous installation there. Install fresh in other drive.

Why is there such a stigma associated with sex and nudity in today's society?
A sort of simple question. Why are nudity and sex seen so negatively in society today? Alternatively you can try to persuade me that a parent who lets their child see them nude (In a non-abusive way, like the child just walks in) is a bad and is damaging them psychologically. I have seen both of my parents nude, I still do, and I am a teenager. I have not recognized any ill effects on my psychie, and I don't think I ever will.
As a random tidbit, remember, there are differences between a pair of breasts and a pair of "t*tties". There are differences between a penis and a "c*ck". It's all prurient interest. If you don't know what that is, google it.
If anything needs to be clarified, I'll be here for a while.

When I took a photo studio class I was given an open project, I did classical nudes. The administration asked me to “re-think” my subject meter. They said it was bordering on pornography “Creative activity (writing or pictures or films etc.) of no literary or artistic value other than to stimulate sexual desire” because I was using film.
Society these days is confused. You get a hand full of people who are so closed minded that they can’t put on different color socks fearing impropriety. And this people start rocking the boat. Because truly they are the perverts who can not distinguish normal human behavior from perversion. There is nothing wrong with children seeing there parents in the nude, or for a group of friends to go to a clothing optional beach. There are tribes in the world to this very day that do not have clothing and they don1t seem to be suffering any negative effect.

I think voting should be mandatory... sort of.
1. A list of multiple choice questions is formulated.
2. Candidates answer questions.
3. Voters answer questions.
4. Rather than actually voting for a candidate, the person's vote goes to the candidate who the voter agreed with most often.
I think that solves a couple of problems. First, the candidate is actually forced to say what he agrees with - no more flip flopping or ambiguous answers. Does anyone know if there is a connection between women who have late pregnancies and breast cancer?
I ask this because, as some of you know, with every issue of Glamour/Cosmopolitan and other popular magazines, there is always a "catch story" for the month that always focus on cancer of some sort (which freaks me out). And I find that it usually is the recently pregnant woman who discovered a lump in the breast and boom...the "c" word unfoils. My question is does anyone know for sure if pregnancy is related to breast cancer in some way? Especially the later you wait? What are some of your opinions?

Deduction value of donations of used books to help fund ministry?
My ministry obtained 501(c)(3) certification from the IRS last year, and one way I am trying to help raise funds is by running an online bookstore selling primarily used Christian books. I have received several hundred books as donations since the beginning of the year since I started soliciting donations, and I'm hoping to go live with the store in a few weeks, but I'm not sure what I need to do as far as assigning a donation value to the books when I send out donation receipts at the end of the year. Do I simply list the number and type of books donated and let the donor make the call on the value of the donation? Or does the IRS have any sort of a list of the deduction value of certain used items when it comes to charitable donations? Any links you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

What is the best wood working glue?
okay i have a small problem, my laundry room has two swival doors that are on tracks. the doors have like these like lattice peices the peices sort of look like an accordion now somehow the frame on one side came off which i can place back in rather easily but those stupid square peices which look like rulers same length and width, keep falling out i have painstakingly placed them back but if you make one wrong move about 30 of the sons of ********* e s fall out all at once. i need a good no i need an awsome wood glue that would hold that s h i t like super glue so as i place each one in their slots i can glue the ends. HELP!

As soon as I saw the question, I knew Gorilla Glue would be mentioned at least a couple of times. From what I can gather, you really don't want any glue at all where you are trying to put it.
It sounds like you are trying to put a louvered door back together. It can be frustrating, but glue will not help.
Lay the pieces of the door out on a flat surface, arranged the way that they will be when assembled. Insert the slats into one of the rails. Use masking tape to hold the slats in place until you can get everything back together. One piece per slat, parallel to the slat across the front and onto the rail. At this point, you will notice that the slats are off the surface a bit on the side you have installed into the rail. Use a couple of pieces of cardboard or other flat material under the other side of the slats to hold them up a bit so they are more or less level.
Bring the other rail next to the slats and begin inserting them a bit. Start at one end and work your way up. It takes some patience, but it can be done.
Using glue here will make the job more difficult. You would have to glue the slats in place on one side and let it cure. When the glue is cured, the slats would not move at all, so it would be difficult to get them worked into the other rail. If you did not have them aligned just right when you glued, you would have problems.
You should put some glue where the pieces have come apart at the top and bottom. Polyurethane glue (Gorilla Glue is one brand) would be good here, but it is very messy. You will end up with some on the front of the door. If the door is stained, I would not use polyurethane glue, if it is painted it will not be a problem but you will need to touch up the paint.
Yellow wood glue is messy as well, but is much easier to clean up. It will hold just fine, you don't have anything in this situation that requires polyurethane glue. Titebond II by Franklin is the best wood glue, Elmers second. For either type of glue, you will need to clamp the pieces together until dry.
Just noticed you mention that you have tried Elmers wood glue with no luck. One of three problems here --
1) you did not use enough. One surface should be covered with the glue. When you clamp, a bit should squeeze out.
2) you did not clamp tight enough. There needs to be a fair amount of pressure, this is true for either type of glue.
3) you did not leave it clamped long enough. For wood glue, you need to leave it clamped at least 4 hours for a good cure, 24 hours before you really handle it.

I glued my futon back together last year %26amp; hasn't come apart yet %26amp; according to the directions will work indefinately. Reply:Hopefully, they'll confiscate all the dogs and fine the breeder enough so that he'll give up the dog 'business' forever. You could also keep checking on the situation in the future to make sure he doesn't go right back to it- more than one citation and he may be forced to stop breeding.

It's soo hard to see animals treated badly but just remember you did a good thing by not buying a pup..it would have just encouraged them more..you could always say to the rspca that your interested in one of the puppies when they are healthy again...if you still are interested. She did get a puppy but it was extremely unhealthy and at seven months is just now getting to where she does not have to be on meds. I went with her to get the pup... and it was terrible! You have not meantioned what breed of dog you were going to visit, i have chihuahuas and i knew the british chihuahua club would of done something about it, try the breed of dogs club. All to often we rush in and buy the cute little animal because we feel it's being kept in poor conditions, but then the puppy becomes ill and the vets bills start to get more and more. All to often the R.S.P.C.A. end up taking these animals into their care and re homing them (if they survive). Puppy farming should be stopped, the breeders jailed as they do in the U.S.A. and banned for life from keeping any animal.

I gather that when a molecule is symmetrical, ie CCl4 then the C-Cl dipoles cancel each other out so the molecule has no overall dipole. This does sort of make some sense, however why does it actually work?

Alternativly, you can do your A Levels and then do a 1 year Foundation Course (which is the same level as the 2nd year of the BTEC course). To do the BTEC, i think you need 6 A*-C grades, but with top grades in art/design subjects, english and maths. After this, if you want to have a decent career, you should go to university and do a Ba in either Fashion Design or Interior Design (if you do the BTEC, it will help you know what you want to specialise in).
Coming from a design background myself, i know that having just a degree is not enough if you want a decent job. You will need to demonstrate plenty of work experience on your CV.
If you only do a BTEC, it will be very difficult to get a job in this design sector. You need the minimum of a degree (preferably a Masters too) and good self promotional skills. Fashion can be very competetive at higher levels. Interior Design may be easier to get into (if you are approaching from an architectural point of view) but you will still need the minimum of a degree for even the smallest firms.

Take it to a local Consignment shop. There they take the dress and tell you how much they will give you if they sell it. If they don't sell it in a certain amount of time you can take it back or they will donate it somewhere.
It works well, becuase you don't do the work, and you still get some profit!

How do I stop my dog from peeing in his kennel?
My dog is 2 years old and housebroken, but if I put a blanket, towel or pillow in his kennel, he pees on it. Simple solution would be to not give him a towel, but I heard dogs were suppose to have some sort of padding so they don't have to lay on the hard ground. The vet said he doesn't have anything wrong with him and I only leave him in there 2 to 3 hours at a time, which isn't too long. I feed him in his kennel b/c I thought that might help, but it hasn't.

I have dealt with may dogs in my time with this problem, and dogs (not common knoledge to most people with the idea of "mans best friend") are very messy animals. They find pride in rolling in thier own feces and urine....and the more sought after dead animal carcass and garbage. He just wants his own smell to be in his space. Thats what it soulds like to me. The more you clean it, the more he will urinate/deficate in his area. And another solution you could use for the towel/blanket, try not washing it with soap. The smell of the soap is offencive to him, and he wants to neutralize this offence, with the scent of him, which he probably conciders the most beautiful smell in the world.
Most dogs will just mark this territory once, or twice, to let everyone else know to stay away from it. if he is urinating in there constantly though thinking it is his bathroom, you might have to re-potty train him. But this still might not eliminate him urinating in his crate forever. Like i said, he wants to smell like him, and thats the best way he knows how.

I do online selling services for a company outside the US. How do i file my taxes?
1. i know i need to do the Form C(business expense net profit so on)
2. I know i need to file 1040 base on the net profit/loss from Form C
3. I know i need to fill SE form for self employment

How do i file on the taxes that the majority of the income I get from these online sells will go back to another company because it is their transaction not mine. therefore I need to deduct these amounts on my Form C. Problem is, its very hard for me to get a legite transaction form from them. The only proof I have is the bank transaction transfer from my account to the company's account. Is this enough info for me to file my taxes so that IRS wont freak out? Let me point out that the shipping is done outside US, therefore I have to tariffs to worry about. And, most of the customers are foreign located. The only thing I do, is provide a service where I sell their things online. SOrt of like the middlemen over the interenet. thanks dawg

I'm trying to plot the waveform for a violin on middle c, with harmonics included and all. I know that the overtones could vary for different types of violins, but is there sort of like a standard formula as to how the general waveform would look like? I've found lots of stuff on working out on harmonic series for specific fundamental frequencies, but there seems to be nothing that pertains specifically to the violin. How do I know what harmonics do typical violin sounds have? All comments are much appreciated. :)

I have a 5g iPod Classic. I have my photos divided between a folder in my C Drive and a folder in my D drive and the latest version of iTunes (as of March 30th). Since I can only find the settings to add photos from one location to my iPod, I was wondering if by any chance there were some sort of settings to suit my situation. Help Please.

Since you are an electrical technician you should only check the voltage side./// UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU CHECK THE FREON LEVELS, LEAVE THAT TO TRAINED PROFESSIONALS IT IS DANGEROUS TO ANY UNQUALIFIED PERSON.

How much will it cost to get a Passat's climatronic climate control system repaired or replaced?
It looks as if my climatronic control is not working properly on my Passat 2001. It does not display the temperature outside. It just comes up as -- C (celcious) It usually reads in F (Fahrenheit).
Sometimes, very unusually now, the air kicks in and blows out really cool air. That is why I think there is some sort of sensor problem. Otherwise right now it blows out mostly hot air since it is summer.
Does anyone know how much something like this would cost to get fixed at the dealership or elsewhere? I kind of want to know how much I should be spending.
Any feedback or experiences would be great! Thanks!

I've worked in Volkswagen dealership service departments on and off over a 25 year period, so perhaps I can offer some insight into the situation.
Normally, the language change (metric - celcious; english farhenheit) is set thru the digital computer display on the instrument cluster using the control buttons for the menu. (use the owners manual to understand how to set the display, if I try to explain it, you'd probably be more confused).
It is possible that the temp sensors that sense the interior temperature aren't working properly. You can override the system some what by selecting maximum cold and have the selector display blowing air out of the dash vents (with the arrow pointing towards the face on the digital display) to circumvent the automatic control. I'm sorry to say that sometimes the system when set on automatic will blow hardly any cold air or sometimes just blow at maximum speed with no ryhme or reason. Its the reason that I prefer the manual control set up on GLS or GL models verses the GLX.
Try the above and see if it starts to blow cold air; by setting the fan speed at maximum blow and temperature at the minimum, it should blow cold air fairly quickly; if it doesn't blow cold air, then you'll need to take the vehicle into a dealership to have someone scan the system and run self tests to see what is the issue. Expect to spend at least 1 hour's labour at what the labour rate is to help determine what the fault might be. I just hope its not the electronic control unit as they are somewhat expensive to replace (there are not servicable parts in the electronic control head; you can only exchange it for a rebuilt one-- its one place where the US car companies are far superior to all vehicles-- in the climate control area).

I just hope its not the electronic control unit as they are somewhat expensive to replace (there are not servicable parts in the electronic control head; you can only exchange it for a rebuilt one-- its one place where the US car companies are far superior to all vehicles-- in the climate control area).

Reply:if the temp display keeps changing as you said, may merely be the ambient temp sensor located behind the left front grill mounted in front of the radiator. They sometimes get covered with debris and have an occasional fault. Try cleaning it first then see what happens

Personally I don't like this TV show. It's a false image of what O.C. is really all about. I lived a part of my life in Orange County and let me tell you that it is not nearly as glamorous a place as they make it out to be. The O.C. that I know of is a nasty overcrowded, polluted, crime ridden area with dilapidated schools and some of the rudest people on earth.
Sure there is Irvine, Corona del mar, and Newport Beach. But the kinds of people that live in those places are either white or asian. They don't have a lot of Teenagers living out there. It's mostly for successfull businessmen. Either Young Couples or retired peoples.
Huntington Beach is OK but what a crappy place it is now. You need to pay $10 just to park your car at the beach. What a dump. The waters off of the coast in O.C. are suspect and very very polluted with bacteria and all sorts of garbage run off through the strom drains. The surfers get sick with unexplainable disease all the time. Santa Ana sux.

What are the brown spots on my rocks, deco and fake plants? is it harmful to my fish?
I have four Parrot blood fish. And I just recently got an algae eater because someone told me that the rustic brown spots are a form of algae? Is this true? And is there some way I can get rid of the spots or will I need to get another algae eater? Also I heard that most often apple snails are used? Will this work? I have so many questions, sorry. I have a 30 gallon tank with just the four cichlids b/c thay are aggressive, but really pretty. How do I know if they are sick? One of them looks like they have a scratch from running into a rock on its nose, and another a funny black spot that it had when we got him, then lost it and now its back? I keep the water levels perfectly in line. I just wonder if there is some sort of medicine for this black spot disease if that is even what it is? I am so confused and I love them and don't want them to die... HELP!!! it would be greatly appreciated.

It could be brown algae or it could be diatomes. Either way, the algae eater won't eat it. Most algae eaters will only eat very green, grassy-type algaeas; other algae types are just not edible.
I suggest you bring the algae eater back to the petstore; he will starve in that environment, although you can feed him - algae wafers and zucchini slived.
Algae is usually caused by excess nutrients or excess light. In your case, I'd bet it is excess nutrients, because your tank is several overstocked. Blood parrots are big, and sometimes aggressive, fish. These fish can grow upwards of 8 inches and a 50 gallon tank would be the minimum size tank for 2. You could maybe get away with keeping one in a 30 gallon tank, but definitely not four.
So, this is heavy on your bioload, because they are churning too much ammonia, which is being converted into nitrates, for the tank to handle - and algae loves nitrates.
As for the black spot, freshwater fish do not get black spot disease. It could be a healing wound or a scar - if so, the scales will look mottled; or it could just be coloration - if so, the scales will look normal, just black in color.

# Do not leave lighting on for more than 10-12 hours a day. Longer periods are likely to favor algal growth, rather than promote plant growth.
# Minimize nutrient levels with frequent water changes. In particular, it may help to keep nitrates, phosphates and silicates low if you have a persistent problem - either by the use of reverse osmosis (RO) or deionized (DI) water, or specific adsorption resins (e.g. API Phos-Zorb). However, note that although high levels of such nutrients may encourage algae, it is not generally possible to completely eliminate algae by attempting to reduce them, as algae can survive at levels below those which can be measured by a hobbyist test kit.
# Consider adding algae eating fish if appropriate to the setup. These include: suckermouth catfish (e.g. Ancistrus, Peckoltia and Otocinclus species), the Siamese Algae Eater (Crossocheilus siamensis) and mollies.

Reply:The brown spots could be algae, and really the only way to get it off is just to rub it. You need a bigger tank for those four parrots. I hope you are doing your water changes very frequently. The scratch is probably, like you said, a scratch, because those parrot fish aren't the smartest fish out there, they tend to run into things really hard when they are trying to pick up food. The black spot, it could be a streaked parrot, a different type of parrot that does have those marks, but since it went away and came back, i doubt it. You should be doing your water changes with a siphon hose at least once a week because you have large fish in a small tank. My best suggestion is get a larger tank, preferably at least a 55-gallon. Reply:It sounds like it might be agae on the rocks and plants. That is not bad in and of itself. Just make sure you control it. An alge eater should work fine. Snails also work but can get out of hand. Once they do you need lots of work to get them under control again. Some people use loaches to control the snails or get rid of them all together. The brown spot on the fish and the bruises may be nothing at all. Just make sure that you keep fungus out of the tank. Read up on fungus attacks like ick. Keep some anti-fungal meds so you have them at first sight of infestation. I have known aquarists that treated monthly, just as a preventative. I am not sure that is needed. The last tank I ran was almost self sufficient. I had almost enough plants to balance the O2 needs of the fish and filter the water and the fish fertilezed the plants and provided the CO2 they needed. I actually had the tank in the garage without filtration for a week and didn't lose anything. Ick and fungus had never been a problem for me. I did have to siphon off hundreds of snails every two weeks. There is some general medication you can buy that might also help. And you might want to remove any rough surface rocks for a while. Hang out at the BEST petshop in your area for fish and ask lots of questions. If you can find a fish like yourS with a similar brown spots at that store ask the most knowledgable person. Don't go to Wal-mart and ask because they don't even know their prices let alone something complicated like what is the type of fish and what does it eat. They actually think Bala Sharks are sharks. (Bala sharks have bones making them OSTEICHTHYES, sharks have no bones making them CHONDRICHTHYES).

Your algae problem can be simply cured by purchasing a $2.00 phosporius filter pad and adding it to your tank.

This is a mold that grows on extra fish food.

If this does not clear within a week, your filter is probably not large enough for your tank.
Do not pour chemicals into the tank without knowing what is going onwith the fish. Go to google or yahoo and look up the problem. Fish normally rubbing or running into rock is the start of ich not black spot. However, there is a form of Black Ich, which is rare except for certain fish. Know what you are dealing with before treatment.
Fish have many different behaviors. Depending on your fish this could be normal to keep parasitic's off their scales. The mold will clear with lesser feedings and the pads. Watch your fish for other behavior changes. You know when your fish is sick by the way they act. If you have an aquarium, watch your fish, know your fish. That is truly the only way to know when they are sick other than floating belly up. No algae eater or fish eats mold. They will eat live algae. Adding more to the tank, doesn't fixthe problem. Before purchasing any fish, know the fish you are buying. Colors, temperment etc. If he colors are wrong, you could have purchased a sick fish from the start.
However black spot is rarely fatel. If your fish aren't experiencing any type of abnormal behavior...don't worry. Clear the mold cutback on the feedings and do your 20% water change. Not much to it. If there is a more serious problem, post it or im me and we can discuss.

Like other algae, it's caused by a bit too much nitrate in the water (it doesn't take much) and the best cure is to be sure your nitrates stay just as low as possible. One way of course is more and larger water changes. Another would be some type of floating plant like java moss, crystal wort or the like. You can remove stuff the brown algae is on and wash it off and you can scrape it off right before a water change but that won't really get rid of it, just move it and spread it.
The black spot you have noticed is most likely just a coloration that changes with the fishes mood and unless you see it spreading or starting up on other fish it would be nothing to worry about.
The scratch on the fishes nose is probably nothing more than that. They chase each other around and run into stuff so scratches are not unusual and nothing to worry about as long as they don't get fungus on them. You can tell that if the scratch starts looking fuzzy and cottony white. If they do, you can easily cure it with a little fungus medication from the pet shop.
A have to join some others and recommend you get a bit larger tank for these guys, they will out grow that 30 gallon.

Best thing to do is to do more frequent water changes. Most algae eaters will ignore it. Brown stuff is usually brown algae or diatoms. Neither of which taste good to any fish. They'll only eat it if they're starving. You can starve the algae to death by doing water changes more frequently, and reducing the total number of hours per day that the lights are on.
You can physically remove it by rubbing, or chemically by dunking the decorations in 1:19 solution of bleach water for 5 minutes. The algae will fall off after a bath like that. Bleach kills nearly all forms of algae.
Scratches are normal on fish. They're pretty tough %26amp; will heal from stuff like that without issue. My cichlids have broken their jaws fighting %26amp; after a few weeks they heal up just fine. As long as they can eat, and there's no sign of infection (like green pus) then they're gonig to heal on their own. Adding a little salt to the water can help them heal better. (like 1-2 tablespoon of aquarium salt per 10 gallons)

They chase each other around and run into stuff so scratches are not unusual and nothing to worry about as long as they don't get fungus on them. You can tell that if the scratch starts looking fuzzy and cottony white. If they do, you can easily cure it with a little fungus medication from the pet shop.
A have to join some others and recommend you get a bit larger tank for these guys, they will out grow that 30 gallon.

Reply:Its not harmful, but it is a sign of excess nutrients in the water (like nitrates and phosphates), which at high enough levels, are harmful to your fish. You should treat it like a canary in a mine... a sign that something may be out of whack.
Best thing to do is to do more frequent water changes. Most algae eaters will ignore it. Brown stuff is usually brown algae or diatoms. Neither of which taste good to any fish. They'll only eat it if they're starving. You can starve the algae to death by doing water changes more frequently, and reducing the total number of hours per day that the lights are on.
You can physically remove it by rubbing, or chemically by dunking the decorations in 1:19 solution of bleach water for 5 minutes. The algae will fall off after a bath like that. Bleach kills nearly all forms of algae.
Scratches are normal on fish. They're pretty tough %26amp; will heal from stuff like that without issue. My cichlids have broken their jaws fighting %26amp; after a few weeks they heal up just fine. As long as they can eat, and there's no sign of infection (like green pus) then they're gonig to heal on their own. Adding a little salt to the water can help them heal better. (like 1-2 tablespoon of aquarium salt per 10 gallons)

Is it legal to rent a house with a broken furnace in Florida?
We rented a house in Putnam County Florida. It's an older house, and I think the landlord we are renting from just bought it. The reason I think that is that there are SO MANY problems with it. They didn't inform us the water heater and furnace are gas. So, we had no hot water until we got the gas company out. Who told us the furnace has a leak and cannot be hooked up. That was almost two weeks ago. They have brought us a space heater, which heats our bedroom reasonably well, and we have the kids sleeping on the floor. The property mgr on Monday claimed that the part was ordered for it, but today claims that the a/c company doesn't recognize the model of furnace, since it is so old and it's hard to find parts for. I know it's part of the statutes that a house must have heat, but does the fireplace count? And does supplying a space heater get them off the hook, also? What sort of recourse do we have if they don't handle this any faster? How much time is "reasonable"?

Seafood + Vitamin C = Poison??
My girlfriend has just told me that eating sea food and taking vitamin C at the same time or close to one another can combine to form some sort of poison, apparently causing internal bleeding. Is this actually true?

What's the best way to keep pests/neighbors out of your yard?
Grrrr, I have an annoying neighbor who has recently planted something on my side of her fence and its not even a see through fence!! Now she is dumping some sort of powder which I'm assuming is pesticide on those plants and its pissing me off b/c I dont want my dog anywhere near that crap!! I guess I'm just asking this question so I can vent.

What can I do to keep the leather on my seats in my car from cracking in the summer?
I don't want my leather seats to start cracking so what should i use to keep that from happening? I don't really want seat covers b/c they're a pain. I've also been told there might be some sort of spray or something of that sort that can help. What should I do?

leave the windows slightly cracked open, so that some of the heat can escape from the car. Best is to buy the plastic tinted window trim so that no rain can get in when you leave the windows cracked. Otherwise, use leather conditioner from either a car parts store or get the good stuff from a furniture store. Last case, get car seat covers for the summer, then when you and friends climb in the seast are not hot, if you spill a drink they go on the cover and you can get in wet from the beach or pool withiut screwing up your leather seats.

Does this sort of thing ever happen to you?
ughhhhhh, i have another ridiculous story. anyway my mom and i have been really hooked on McDonalds "Sweet Tea". so we go to the one by my house usually everyday. so these last few days, whenever we went, and mind you, my mom repeats and says very clearly our order (2 sweet teas) and the person says "how many chicken selects?"!!! it is so crazy. how does that sound like "c-h-i-c-k-e-n s-e-l-e-c-t-s"? my mom and i just crack up like crazy when ever it happens. does this ever happen to you?

Oh my god!!! It gets me mad when that happens! One time I ordered 2 hash browns with my breakfast.The lady in the cash register said, "How many apple pies?" I replied back saying I wanted 2 hash browns.Well,when I received my food I took out the McGriddle sandwich and guess what I also received,2 APPLE PIES instead of the HASH BROWNS that I had ordered!!! I got so freaking pissed!! How can cashiers be so stupid!
Reply:Its good that you and your mom crack up and laugh bout this.After all,these ppl are only human like the rest of us that make mistakes everyday.As someone who has worked fast food a lot,ive got to tell you ,they really need a new system for taking orders.I dont know what it would be but these speakers are really not up to par like they should be and sometimes you cant even understand what the customer is saying to you.

Reply:Yeah, that happens to me when I order, but I work at McDonalds and if you go through the drive-thru, it's really hard to understand people. If you go in, they may not understand you because you may be talking too quietly. The noise level behind the counter is suprisingly loud compared to in the lobby.
Reply:they usually screw up my order 40 percent of the time so i stopped caring. i'm hungry anyway so i eat what they give me
Reply:yeah....sometimes its the speakers. and other times the cashier is taking cash, making drinks, and trying to show good customer service to the customer at the window while taking your order. so they have to do some good multi tasking. oh and other times its mainly the headsets to.
im a cashier and i used to get this gentlemens drink wrong like at least three times in a row each time he came. he ordered something with a sweet tea. but i kept thinking he said HI-C. instead. he laughed about it tho. which was good because i felt bad each time.
