I am in algebra 1 I currently have a C+ in my class. I would like to have at least a B+ by the end of the year any tips of any sort to help me focus and understand?
What is the best way to prepare for a math test?
Well the best way is by practice. Do questions in your book, or from your notes. Make sure you know how to do every question. Doing questions also helps you remember formulas better, cause you're using them everytime you do a problem. Do some of the ones your teacher doesn't assign too. Ask for help if you need some.
Reply:Practice solving math problems using pencil and paper instead of just reading the book. Then when you take the test, it will be easier for you because you will have already performed this activity.
Reply:study b4 a test and ask questions on wut u dont understand. if ur still having trouble talk about it w/ da teacher and get a tutor
Reply:Study a little harder and make sure you understand everything before leaving class each day. Having a C+ means you need much improvement.
Reply:open the math book to the section you are working on
do all the problems
if you can do all the problems and get them right you should do accomplish your goal
Reply:hmmm
STUDY
Reply:work on questions in ur book
Reply:There are lots of ways to prepare for math tests, here are a few that really help me:
If you have a text book practice page, you should really do it, then have somebody other than yourself check it.
Well, DUH you should study.
Make flash cards. (Make sure the answers on your flash cards are accurate!!!!)
Try your best and if you fail, (which is unlikely if you REALLY try hard) then you could ask your teacher for a makeup test, but thats the last thing you wanna try.
Sorry, I might not be much of a help because Im in just algebra.... Hope it works!
Reply:the best way is to do some practice problems from the book. if your book has an anwser key somewhere (usually the back of the book), then do the problems that have the answers given, that way you can check your work. if something isn't working, you can ask the teacher or a friend to explain
Reply:just do a ton of practice problems, and make sure you do all the homework your teacher assigned. Also, most teachers will help you if you ask them for help, and show that you put an effort into trying to learn it by yourself.
Reply:get a tutor ..tohelp u on one of the week days ...the weekend works best...go over everything u learned dat week ...it will get better ....
i understand ...im jus finishing algebra II n im only in the 9th grade...
good luk
Reply:studying for math saved my *** this past semester...read the chapter of the book and sit and think about what it means
then do some problems and check answers
u can go to your math teacher or get a tutor
i happen to tutor kids and im very good i charge $10/hr if u need help shoot me a message!
Reply:memorize the formulas.
use tham for regular life.
Reply:there are tests at the end of ever chapter in every math book.
you can do them, and then check in the back to see if your answers were correct, for the ones you missed go over them and see what you did wrong and review them, and make sure you understand. i would also read over the chapther, look over my math notes, important rules, some chapter deffinitions, and chaper quizes.
this will really help.
good luck !
Reply:well... you can get help. stay after school or get a smart adult to help you. i was in the same situation and it worked for me. you can also get one of those fly pens and it will help you solve the problem. you can also go online to get some help understanding. Hope you do well GOOD LUCK
Reply:take your book home and study everything you were supposed to learn. that's what i do.
Reply:study study study or better if ur teacher can get some toutering after skool c+ is ok but u can do better and dont over stress!!!!!!
Reply:Maths is something that needs to be practiced in order to improve at it.
When studying, it's not enough just to look at the solutions and then assume you know them. You need to regularly test yourself to make sure you can do these questions without any help, because that is what it will be like when you take your exam. Also, you need to revise material regularly. It might surprise you, but what you know now may easily be forgotten in a couple of months time.
It's probably not what you want to hear, but practicing the different types of questions over and over again is the only way to improve at maths.
Best of luck with it!
Reply:SKIP IT .. i hate math .
Reply:Make sure you do all your homework. Get extra help if you need it. Try the practice tests for each chapter in you math textbook.
Reply:stay after school to get help from your math teacher, or cheat ( its not cheating until he catches you cheating!)
