The general purpose of any proposal is to get your audience to change their minds about some important issue?

Is that true or false? I think it is false b/c it is to persuade readers to do something not change their minds or is that sort of the same thing

The purpose of a proposal can be to change a person's mind, but it alot of different things. It could be to introduce completely new ideas.

Persuading someone on an issue that they already have formed an opinion about is different from trying to get someone, or a reader to try something.
Reply:I think it is false. A proposal is not intended to get anyone to change their mind or even to do something. A proposal is a suggestion. It tells your audience what you suggest be done, and what reasons you have for your suggestion. Typically, there would be several proposals presented, and the audience would choose one based on its merit.
