What is the point of the letter "C"?

I mean, come on people! I don't get it. The letter c makes the s and k sound, so what's the point of it? Maybe at one point in time it made its own original sound and people began using slang and stopped using the original sound...sort of like the word ginormous! Who the hell thought of the idea of putting THAT in the dictionary?!?!?! Come on! This is freaking ridiculous! Who else agrees?!

However, the letter C has it's purpose. The CH sound would be non-existent without it. KH and SH would really screw that sound up.
