I would push for a VBAC.

Easier recovery and with a toddler on your hands you need as much energy as you can muster after childbirth!

I had an emergency caesarean and was being pushed towards another by a doctor that I saw, however I did some of my own research and found that a VBAC is safer all around, both for baby and mother.

My first labour I had every drug offered to me and ended up with a c-section. Second baby I went all natural; no drugs and had a vaginal birth. I believe that if you're physically and mentally ready go for a VBAC.

If that doesn't end up being a viable option, ask them to put baby to your chest ASAP after being taken out of your body, so you have that chance to connect with your baby.

Good luck!!
Reply:It is a form of deppresion called postpartum depression....You will be fine my mom had two kids and went through it both time....You will be able to get through this if it worses you may want to talk with your doctor..

Reply:I felt that same strange feeling after my VBAC. If you want to try a VBAC, try one. If your doc can't give you a good reason that he/she doesn't want to try one, find another doc. Get one that is comfortable with VBACs. Just be prepared for it not to work. If may go great, perfect. It may not. If it doesn't, make sure you remember that your goal is a healthy baby, no matter how it comes. It's easy to be disappointed if it doesn't work the way you want. Keep your eye on the prize.
Reply:Ive had 5 naturals and one Cesar and to me it doesn't matter if you have a belly birth or not as long as the bub gets hear safely good luck
Reply:poor thing, i know how c-sections are i had one just over 2 weeks ago with my twins. u can try and get a vbac if u want but if the doctor believes its bets to do another c-section then its probably better not to compromise ur babies safety(if hes just saying it because its easier or he doesn't know how or something then change doctors NOW) but if there was a medical reason for ur csection and it is still there(epilepsy/diabetes/etc) or it arises again(high blood pressure/baby under stress/low birth weight/large birth weight) then it may be best to do a csection again. i was scared of having the feelings u did so i asked to be put on anesthetic but not so much that it was painless, i wanted the pain as i thought it would help me establish the naturalness of childbirth and the pain that's meant to come with it. i got my pain and i dont have the feelings u have(i did the 1st day becuz i wasn't ready for the girls becuz they werent meant to be born for another 16 or so weeks!)

good luck and congrats on ur pregnancy and ur baby/toddler!!
