Why am I such a slob?

I've just cooked lunch, and made a total sh1t-pit out of the kitchen.





Bread crumbs everywhere. Spilt the coffee jar. Washed a plate and soaked the entire counter top...even managed to spill a little sugar when making my brew.





And then onion wrappings missed the bloody bin.





Not my day?





Well, the misses would freak if she saw this when she got it. But I can't understand why I'm a slob, and she is so clean in there? I can cook too, so its not as if I'm never in there....





It even threatens to interrtupt yahooo answers whilst I sort the c*nt out....





Anyone else the same?

Why am I such a slob?
My husband is! You can follow him by his trail. Starts at the front door, shoes, newspapers, laptop, jacket inside out, tie on back of chair, keys anywhere.


He just has to make a sandwich and a cup of coffee and the kitchen looks as if a bomb has exploded.


I blame his mother who was so fussy her house was like a mausoleum. She would tidy behind him, polish his shoes, tuck a clean handkerchief in his pocket every morning and force him to comb his hair with Brylcream when he was a lad. When he started driving, she cleaned the car and polished the bumpers. Now his car is an ambulating paper bin...


I think that it is a reaction against his upbringing. He was revolting.... or should it be He is....
Reply:yep most people are messy in the kitchen when my husbands cooking it looks like a clown has been in there he uses every implement . the tip is to clean as you go like you did when you cooked at school simple stops rows break ups could even solve world piece ;-)

Reply:I know what you mean, it can be very frustrating as you end up spending loads of time clearing up. Well we have a tiny little kitchen so I am forced to 'tidy as i go' otherwise there is no space on the work top to continue cooking unless i clear it first. I think it is hereditary as my mum always used to get in a mess in the kitchen, and me and my brothers are the same!
Reply:You need to be better organized. Clean as you go. I always fill the kitchen sink with warm soapy water before I begin. Then keep the peelings and scrap off the counter immediately and into the garbage. Put cooking tools into the water as you use them. Wipe the counters with a kitchen wash cloth as you go. It is more fun, safer for you, and in the end you won't have a big mess to clean up.

You have bread crumbs everywhere because you dont cut the bread over the sink or a plate.





Spilt the coffee jar because you didnt hold on to it well.





its all a matter of physics, so do a good job or quit the kitchen :)

Reply:You got to have finesse, men seem to be rambunctious and always in a hurry, not to mention they have large hands, but I have those days where all I am doing is making a mess, it could be just the day for you….lol… no worry’s everyone goes through it. Its just aggravating to say the least.
Reply:CALM DOWN, If you expect to make a mess then you will. Give yourself more time when your in the kitchen, and have a bowl of hot soapy water in the sink to clean up as you go.
