When we worship God, how do we know that we are doing the same thing that the Ewoks did with C-3PO?

In the film Return of the Jedi the Ewoks recognized C-3PO as a deity. C-3PO then pretended to be a deity to help his friends. How do we know that the Gods that people worship are even Gods? Couldn't they simply be a being of some sort that we don't understand and that they are pretending to be a God for their own interests?

When we worship God, how do we know that we are doing the same thing that the Ewoks did with C-3PO?

the word Jedi comes from the egyptian word 'Djedi' and the hebrew word 'Jediah' the Jedi people were the giants of renown the ones with the advanced technology or prophets that unlocked the keys of the secrets of Yahweh such as Enoch. The Starwars did really happen the war of heaven was a star wars battle.

these Sumerians,Hindus,Hebrews and Mayans all spoke about real Jedi's.
Reply:Even if they "act" as gods, they'll still be gods. People, things, etc. are defined by their actions, so by definition a supernatural being worshipped as a god is by default a god.
Reply:That would be a valid point, if C-3PO actually existed. In our case we have imagined that there is a C-3PO, but there is nothing to indicate that it might be real.
